Kim Kardashian in Nuj Novakhett

As women, we are often told to shy away from wearing anysort of horizontal stripe.  But this season, black and white stripes are totally wearable and have a nautical vibe that is perfect for summer.  Kim Kardashian wore a Nuj Novakhett number from the designer’s fall collection to the MuchMusic Video Awards in Canada.  If you can’t wait until the fall to purchase this dress and need your fix of Nuj Novakhett now, dresses from the spring collection are on sale right now for reasonable prices.  A two-tone black and white dress will run you $236 (that’s 50% off the regular price)!  For a more affordable version, we like the Aqua Ruffle Tube Dress from Bloomingdales.  The skirt of the dress is done in a solid black, making this $60 dress an easy transition into the world of horizontal stripes.

Celebrities Love Their Kain Labels!

SPL54551_002SPL66445_021SPL100212_016Being fashionable doesn’t always mean being fancy! Young celebs are drooling over these thin Kain Label tanks, and it’s no wonder why! They combine comfort with style, and what more can we ask for? Audrina Patridge, Kim Kardashian, and Lo Bosworth are among the many who own these pocket tanks, which come in several neutral colors for around $77 each. You can find them in the closets of Lindsay Lohan, Vanessa Hudgens and Jessica Simpson, too! If the price isn’t right, look at these Silk Blend Pocket Tanks from Forever 21. They are ultra comfy, but will only cost you $7. These sheer tanks are versatile, so change up your look each time you wear them – tuck it in, dress it up, pair with leggings… whatever you choose! Kain Label also makes pocket tees, which celebs are just as obsessed with. (They look exactly like the tanks, only with sleeves!) The extra fabric will cost you $85, so we have an alternative. These Express Oversized Pocket Tees are our absolute favorites, and you’ll only pay $8. They have them in V-neck, too.

Nothing says summer quite like a breezy, carefree white dress.  Cameron Diaz was white hot in a lace Oscar de la Renta dress while receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  The actress’s dress is from the Resort 2010 collection and is not yet available, but the designer has a similar dress for over $2000 (on sale)!  Take off two zeros from that price and you can snag Cameron’s style with a lace dress from Forever 21.  Top your look off with a red belt from Kohl’s for an extra pop of color and you’ve got a complete outfit for around $30.

Jordin Sparks wore this gorgeous evening gown at an event in California, and we’ve been dying to steal her look ever since! Her beautiful BCBG Ombré Silk Gown is floaty and feminine (two things we love!) and we applaud the way it complements her dark hair and skin. This singer definitely wins our vote in this flirty, colorful piece. Her formal attire cost her close to $500, so we did a little bargain hunting. We thought it’d be more practical to find a similar dress, but not as fancy. This Blue Hued Maxi from DEB is the perfect fit! The colors are right on, and can’t you picture yourself wearing it to concerts and on weekend getaways? We can! And the best part, is that we get to drop a zero off the price – this dress will only cost you $50!

She’s a knock-out in this checkered 3.1 Phillip Lim Dress, and we love the blue! Her plaid mini cost $408, which is a lot of dough for a tiny dress. Plaid is in this season, so lucky for us, it’s everywhere! Check out this Cabana Blue Dress from Pac Sun for only $50! Throw it on instead of shorts this summer for an easy, trendy look that will have your friends asking, “Can I borrow that?”
